Montessori Classroom Teachers

International Montessori Academy is seeking AMI/AMS Montessori-trained Lead Guides and AMI/AMS Montessori-trained Assistants for our Nido, Toddler, Primary, & Elementary Communities. For the right candidate, we will accept a person who is still in training. We are flexible with your rigorous educational schedule.

We are also seeking additional Classroom Assistants, Native Spanish Assistants, and Substitutes/Floaters for our Nido, Toddler, Primary, & Elementary Communities. 

College scholarships and bonuses are available for qualified staff interested in  pursuing Montessori training or an Early Childhood Education Certificate/Degree.  

REQUIREMENTS:

• Punctual, reliable, professional, and nurturing. 

• Passion for early childhood education

• A love for and understanding of young children is key

• Desire for continual professional growth

• Ability to serve a diverse community

• Background check required.

• Open to all experience levels.

• Team player, willing to collaborate with colleagues and parents.

• Open to learning & embracing the Montessori philosophy and approach

• Previous experience in a Montessori setting is preferred, but not required

Pay is between $14-$21 per hour. Compensation for all positions are competitive and commensurate with education, childcare and/or Montessori experience, level of certified Montessori training, and tenure with IMA. Professional development and in-house training provided with generous scholarships available for staff members' children.
