Anchor 1

The Application Process:

Step 1. Schedule a Tour or come to an Open House

We appreciate your interest in our school and look forward to connecting with you! Call us at 404-474-6375Email, or click above to schedule a tour.

We love giving parents the opportunity to explore our beautiful 2+ acre campus. Tours also give you the unique ability to see the Montessori method at work! Each tour, led by a school administrator, is about an hour long and gives you a full overview of all of our programs.

Step 3. Deposit

Upon acceptance, a non-refundable deposit of $1000 is due in order to secure enrollment (based on availability). This deposit is deducted from the year’s tuition.

Wait-List Information:

If after applying, we do not have any classroom openings for your requested start date, you will be offered a place on our Wait-List. To secure a space on this list, there is a refundable deposit of $250. If and when a space opens , we will inform wait-listed families on a first-come, first-serve basis and offer the available space and start date. When a family accepts the offer, the $250 is refunded and the enrollment process resumes.

Step 2. Application and Interview

Prospective families are welcome to apply online. There is an $80 non-refundable application fee due for each application submitted.

For prospective Primary and Elementary families, once your application has been received, we will contact you to schedule an interview with your child's teacher. This visit is designed to allow your child to meet one of our Guides and visit a classroom where they will meet peers and engage in lessons and activities. It is also the perfect opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have.

For a more personalized tuition schedule, you can place your application for enrollment here.

GENERAL

What methods of communication does the school utilize?

IMA uses a system called Brightwheel, where teachers can communicate with parents and provide updates. The Administration and teaching staff also send periodic newsletters as well as communicating with families by email.

What are the teacher qualifications?

IMA Lead Guides are Montessori trained. Some our assistants have Montessori training. All staff members are CPR & First Aid trained. More information on staff background and qualifications can be found on the staff page

Are meals provided?

In the Nido/Infant environment, parents provide all milk/formula, meals, and snacks. In the Toddler, Primary, and Elementary environments parents provide meals twice a week. Morning & Afternoon snack is provided daily in the Toddler, Primary and Elementary environment. In those three environments, lunch is provided 3 days a week which includes the family of the week providing pizza on of those days. All meals and snacks provided are vegetarian. Menus and schedules are created by the Lead Guide and varies between the different classrooms. You can find out more information about your particular classroom during orientation.

Are extracurricular activities offered?

Weekly music and art lessons are included in our program. Primary children ages 5 and older also receive violin lessons. IMA partners with several vendors that offer on-site activities for a fee: Soccer Shots, Playball, TechieKids, Synchronicity Playmaking, Dance & Gymnastics.

What is your Student-to-Teacher ratio?

IMA is licensed by the Georgia Department of Early Care & Learning: Bright From the Start. As such, we abide by state Staff: Child Ratios

What are your hours?

IMA operating hours are 7:30a-6:00p. Carpool/Drop-off/Pick-up for Toddler, Primary, & Elementary are as follows: Morning drop-off is between 8a-8:30a. Afternoon pickup is between 3:15p-3:30p. Evening pickup is between 5p-5:30p. If early morning care before 8a and/or Evening care after 5:30p is needed, that must be coordinated with teaching staff.

Do all of the classrooms follow the same schedule?

In the infant room, children follow a feeding and nap schedule that parents set. Infants also have scheduled outdoor time, art lessons, and music lessons. As infants get older and prepare to transition, your Lead will work with you on a schedule that closely resembles a daily schedule in the toddler room.  Toddler and Primary rooms have a set schedule which includes morning work cycles, plenty of outdoor time (weather permitting), snack and lunchtime, nap, and afternoon work cycles for older Primary children, cultural studies, art, music, as well as other extracurriculars. Although toddler and primary classes have similar schedules, each lead guide sets the schedule for that particular classroom. Your classroom specific schedule is sent with your orientation packet.
